  • Identification of physical and technical limitations in the optical method of granulometry of process dust

Samples of metal dust generated during milling of gray cast iron were collected experimentally. The machine operating mode, dust collection points, and blowing conditions were varied in the experiments. To ensure the reliability of the result, the physical stage of the analysis of the dimensional characteristics of the dust was performed using two methods: sieving and direct optical measurements. Significant discrepancies in the statistical parameters obtained by different methods were revealed. A hypothesis explaining the differences was proposed and confirmed. An integrated approach to the physical stage of dispersion analysis of bulk media is recommended.

  • Research of thermomechanical stresses in multilayer edge commutatuion structures of three-dimensional microassemblies

Multilayer edge commutation in 3D integration technologies can simplify the design of microassemblies and reduce the length of edge electrical connections. However, this commutation is vulnerable to thermomechanical stresses and requires preliminary analysis of the product design. This paper shows the results of modeling various variants of multilayer edge commutation for 3D microassemblies, differing both in the dielectric material used at the edge redistribution layer and in the material for sealing the microassembly volume. It has been established that the lowest values of thermomechanical stresses in commutation are characteristic of materials whose temperature coefficient of linear expansion is as close as possible to this parameter of conductors. At the same time, the use of composite dielectrics in redistribution layers leads to a more significant decrease in stresses than the use of more thermally stable unfilled polymers.

The article examines the problem of power supply of low-power devices remote from stationary power sources. The structural solutions of autonomous power supply systems of high and low power, which use renewable energy sources, are considered. It is shown that in autonomous micro and low-power power supply systems, MPPT-type controllers do not provide technical and economic advantages compared to controllers in which, due to simple structural and circuit design solutions, the necessary but sufficient minimum of functions for charging and discharging the energy storage of the power supply system is implemented. The models of circuit solutions of the controller nodes are presented, which implement the necessary minimum of functions for charging and discharging the energy storage device and the results of experimental studies showing the operability of the proposed circuit solutions.

  • Development of a mathematical model for optimizing the divergence of an acoustic beam of a single-channel acousto-optic correlator

The influence of the diffraction divergence of an acoustic beam on the characteristics of a single-channel acousto-optic correlator (AOC) is considered. A mathematical model is being developed to optimize the divergence of the acoustic beam of a single-channel acousto-optic correlator. It is shown that it boils down to amplitude and phase modulation of the pulse response of the device, and the nature of the parasitic modulation turns out to be invariant to the type of the correlator reference signal. As a result of numerical calculations, dependences were obtained that allow us to quantify the effect of diffraction divergence on the operation of the ACS. Methods of compensation for parasitic modulation are proposed, which makes it possible to improve the functionality of acousto-optic correlators.

  • The use of neural network segmentation and delineation of objects to assess the granulometric composition of the result of drilling and blasting operations on the image

This study is devoted to the development of methods for the automatic assessment of the granulometric composition of ore after blasting based on data obtained from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Determining the size of ore fragments is an important step, since the effectiveness of subsequent crushing processes depends on its accuracy. Traditional methods of analysis use manual work, which requires considerable labor and is subject to subjective factors. The study examines modern machine learning methods and neural network architectures, such as Feature Pyramid Network (FPN), EfficientNet and SE ResNet, which can automatically and accurately segment images. As a result of the experiments, it was found that the VPN network with a pre-trained EfficientNet B2 base showed the highest IoU accuracy among the models.

  • Assessment of factors and development of a methodology for determining the duration of restoration work of damaged buildings

Abstract: This article is devoted to the formation of a methodology for determining the duration of emergency recovery work, in case of damage to buildings and their structures from the effects of force factors, which is an important industrial and social task. The main indicator adopted in this article for calculating the duration is the duration criterion (Upr). In the course of the study, factors were formed and grouped according to segmental characteristics, based on the degree of their influence on the duration of emergency recovery operations, a multiple regression equation was compiled, which allowed taking into account the influence of the most significant factors on a single assessment scale. The findings of the study are supposed to be used to determine the duration of emergency recovery work. Thus, the methodology for determining the duration of work is an important tool in the complex of measures for the effective conduct of restoration work and minimizing costs.
