  • The influence of modern development on the ecology of megacities

The presence of a large number of undeveloped areas within the city - now inactive enterprises - creates a negative impact on the urban environment. Since these territories are depressed spaces, the design of new residential areas with characteristic high-rise buildings seems to be a logical path for the development of the city. However, uncontrolled urbanization and dense multi-storey buildings represent a fundamental change in the human environment. The consequences of this approach lead to a deterioration in the air exchange of areas and contributes to the formation of “heat islands” that affect air pollution. This contributes to the deterioration of the environmental and social situation and the emergence of a negative perception of the environment among the population. The worsening of this problem may cause a deterioration in the social climate in large cities. The article analyzes the impact of dense high-rise buildings on the environment located on the territory of non-operating enterprises. Methods for solving this problem are indicated. The results of field observations and studies of the interhouse space are presented, on the basis of which the role of convective flows of thermal origin in the air exchange of urban space is revealed. A comparative analysis of projects for the development of the territory of a former house-building plant with complexes for various functional purposes is presented.

  • Factors influencing the energy efficiency of modern high-rise buildings in the city of Vladivostok

This article is devoted to the analysis of factors influencing the energy efficiency of high-rise buildings. Using the example of the Aquamarine residential complex in the city of Vladivostok, an analysis of high-rise buildings was carried out, calculations were performed, and the results were presented in the form of graphs that reflect the dynamics of the speed of wind flows and temperature changes in the outside air along the height of the building. Changes in these parameters increase the intensity of heat loss, which must be taken into account when developing a space-planning solution and thermal protection of the facades of high-rise buildings.

  • Formation of microclimatic conditions in the territories of the Southern cities

The development of modern cities, caused by the need to improve the living environment, contributes to the creation of new buildings and structures. As a result, the density of typical urban development increases, mainly with rectangular buildings. Such buildings, with closed areas of courtyard spaces, create extreme microclimatic conditions and aggravate the air exchange of territories, thereby violating thermal and environmental comfort. This situation is especially acute in the southern cities. The article analyzes the influence of modern typical building on the microclimatic conditions of yard spaces. The factors influencing the formation of the heat and wind regime of urban areas have been identified. On the example of a building with a characteristic orientation for the conditions of Dushanbe, a graphical-analytical calculation of the duration of facade insolation was carried out. The role of insolation in the formation of convective flows of thermal origin is determined. On the basis of field studies, changes in the maximum speed of convective flows near the walls of the building were determined. The role of convective flows of thermal origin in the formation of the heat-wind regime of yard spaces is indicated.

  • The role of modern buildings in shaping the ecology of the city of St. Petersburg

Atmospheric air is the most important life-supporting natural environment that has developed during the evolution of the Earth. The results of environmental studies, both in Russia and abroad, indicate that pollution of the surface atmosphere is the most powerful, constantly acting factor of impact on humans, the food chain and the environment. In this regard, the urgency of the deterioration of the ecology of the surface environment in modern cities has increased disproportionately. The development of modern cities, caused by the need to improve the living environment, contributes to the creation of new buildings and structures, the development of transport and engineering infrastructure. As a result, the density of urban development and the congestion of transport networks increase, which leads to environmental pollution and complicates the ecological situation in cities. The article analyzes the ecology of the largest cities in Russia using the example of the city of St. Petersburg and assesses the aerodynamics of urban space. Convective flows occurring in the urban space are identified as one of the important factors in improving the ecology of the urban environment. The analysis of such factors as harmful emissions from vehicles and disturbed due to dense development of air exchange in urban areas, affecting the ecology of urban space.

  • Climatic parameters and their impact on the energy efficiency of high-rise buildings in Moscow

In modern construction, the task of improving the energy efficiency of urban-type buildings is becoming increasingly important, since urbanization increases the volume of energy consumption. When solving issues of energy efficiency of high-rise buildings, it is necessary to take into account such factors as the location of the object, orientation to the cardinal points, functional purpose, volumetric-spatial and engineering solutions to save energy, reduce heat loss and create comfortable conditions inside buildings and in the local area ... In part, these problems can be solved by optimizing the geometric, technical, including the heat engineering parameters of the building envelope, paying attention to the fact that their characteristics must be changed depending on specific climatic factors. The article analyzes several high-rise buildings in the city of Moscow. As an example, calculations have been performed and graphs of temperature and wind speed changes along the height of one of the buildings are presented. An increase in wind speed and a decrease in temperature create special conditions that affect the heat loss of high-rise buildings, which must be taken into account when thermal protection of external enclosing structures.

  • Assessment of factors affecting the ecology of cities with hot climates and difficult terrain

Southern cities with hot and calm climate conditions, located on difficult terrain due to the lack of sufficient aeration, are in an extreme ecological situation. Urban construction on difficult terrain affects the established local microclimate by changing the structure of the environment and hydrogeological conditions. In addition, the development of urban space and the construction of modern multi-storey buildings significantly affect the aerodynamics of the environment and ecology. In the article, on the basis of the analysis of the climatic parameters of the cities of Sochi, Makhachkala and field observations, the conditions under which the local air circulation is formed, contributing to the improvement of the ecological situation, are revealed. Models of the formation of aeration of urban space for different types of landscaping have been constructed The analysis performed will make it possible to correctly assess the factors influencing the formation of aeration of thermal origin and their role in improving the ecology of cities with hot and calm climate conditions.
