Rehabilitation of the protective concrete layer of damaged bending structures
Incoming article date: 19.05.2025The paper analyzes the influence of damage to the protective layer of concrete of the zone of maximum bending moments of single-span beams on the load-bearing capacity of the structure and the possibility of restoring the initial load-bearing capacity. The study is based on laboratory research and numerical experiment, as well as on the analysis of earlier tests and accumulated experience in the restoration of structures. As a result, conclusions are drawn about the effect of concrete protective layer failure on the load-bearing capacity of bending structures, and recommendations are given for further research into the calculation and design of these systems.
