Correcting the life standard of the automobiles brake system elements, taking into account seasonal variations of operational rate and conditions
Incoming article date: 11.09.2015One of the conditions of reducing the transport work cost is management of the automobile elements life on the basis of objective standards. In the conducted research, forming of the automobile elements life, according to seasonal variations of operational rate and conditions, is considered. A method of correcting coefficients determination was developed; it was based on estimated deterioration for each month, derived from the average deterioration rate of the friction linings and automobile running per month. Calculation of correction factors was carried out with the use of the imitating model. The obtained results allow modelling the braking system elements life, taking into account seasonal unevenness of requirement of them. Using that information, it is possible to correct spare parts requirement and, accordingly, to reduce cars downtime while waiting to be repaired, as well as volume of stocks.
